So, after a few months of this:
And this:
I am finally back to feeling like myself again :) Ready to get back into the swing of things and kick start my blogging again!
(I may explain things in a later post, but today is just about all the lovely makes I've made whilst AWOL).
Where to start.....? I guess I'll start with how I'm doing on the Summer Stitching Club (yep, still haven't finished it and we've had the Autumn one AND now the Winter one has started.....).
My last post featured the ice lolly design, so here's what I've done so far:
All the hexagons have now been joined together and I'm just finishing off the last few instructions before it's done! My sister bought me a mini sewing machine for my birthday in November - I can't wait to use it for this!
I've also been busy making presents for other people. This (excuse the poor stitching, my first attempt!) for my nephew:
And got a little further with my nieces cross stitch:
And this for my awesome Wiggy wifey's birthday (pattern from Wild Olive's Friendship Week post):
And earrings for le momma. My aunty got her this gorgeous bracelet for her birthday back in March and she hadn't been able to find earrings to match. So after a lot of searching, I finally found beads to match (metallic petroleum blue is not as common as you'd think apparently). Then I hit Hobbycraft for some supplies and this is what I made. Not bad for a first attempt and possibly a new hobby:
And more recently, I made Xmas lucky pants badges for my Slay Belles Intraleague team (pattern taken from Bugs and Fishes Blog):
Whilst on the Xmas theme, I attempted my very first blanket stitch......:
And lastly, something that I look at every day, to remind me (pattern from Wild Olive's Let Go Of Your Kite post):

Monday Makes
Much to my own amazement (!), I actually managed to do some crafting last week!
I've finally finished the owl cross stitch that I was making for my mum :) Now all I have to do is buy a picture frame for it so she can put it up in her room, the colours will go really nice in there.
I also made a perler bead Tazmanian Devil for one of the girls who's leaving Fierce Valley (sad face), Mazmanian Devil. I hope she likes it! I got the pattern for it from this page http://s300.photobucket.com/user/rgcainmd/media/Wee%20Project/TazDevil.jpg.html.
Last week saw the start of Wild Olive's Summer Stitching Club which I've registered for, so hopefully there will be a little more content to the next Monday Makes :)

Monday Makes
I apologise for the lack of crafty posts recently. I've been extremely busy and not had any time to do anything, which makes for a sad Moogle :( With my shifts being the way they are (early shift one week, back shift the next), I think I might make this section a fortnightly one, as I never seem to get any crafting done on a back shift and that makes for a rather dull blog post!
I have managed to do a few things in the last month, so here you go:
I finally finished my Mario mushrooms bookmark. Well, I stitched the last mushroom. I'm currently looking into ways that I can finish the bookmark off so it doesn't fray at the edges. I'm quite happy with this cross stitch, but it did take a lot longer than I thought.
Fierce Valley had their second intraleague bout on Saturday (I'll definitely be writing a post about this!). I was on team Autoblocks (Autobots but derby'd up for the bout) and this is one of the presents we were given in our treat bags. Me and our captain, Dita Von Cheeze, made these. Very easy and so relaxing, I do love crafting with perler beads.
This is the cross stitch I'm currently working on, an owl for my momma. I bought the pattern from Nerdy Little Stitcher on Etsy. I'm going to put it in a frame so she can hang it up in her room. She's been working really hard lately and she's exhausting herself, even if she won't admit it. So hopefully this will cheer her up a little :)

Monday Makes
I'm back! Apologies for the delay in this post, but it's been a hectic week, what with me just getting back into the country last Monday (a day late.....there will be a post about this!) and then having the cold and feeling pretty crap, whilst trying to get my fitness back before the Newcastle bout on Saturday.
So, before I left for the States, Joustin Beaver (love that name so much!) requested her own pompom sheep. I couldn't refuse!
We decided to call it a Beep - half beaver, half sheep xD
I also made 14 more sheep as mascots for the team for our Newcastle bout :) (hence me not having a lot of time last week - pompom sheep can be quite time consuming!).
And we celebrated Mother's Day the Sunday before I left, so I made my mum a card.
She loved him :)
And whilst over in America, when the boy had to go to work, I got half way through my Mario bookmark.
Must finish this this week!!

Monday Makes
I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front this past week. Remember the sheep from last Monday's makes? Well.....I finished them :D
Here we have the Newcastle roster of the Parma Violents in pompom sheep form!! I've decided I'm going to recreate them for the team so we all have our very own personal sheep for the bout on the 30th of March xD. I've even started making some for the other Fiercies :)
It was also Mario week last week! Wild Olive asked her followers to make something for this week. Here's my contribution:

He was even mentioned in Wild Olive's blog in her Your Mario Makes post :D
Inspired by this week, I've started work on a Mario bookmark:
(Original pattern found at Erica's Hook and Yarn blog)
I made great use of the "Oodles and Doodles" section of the organiser my mum bought me at christmas!
Aside from all the sheep and Mario crafting, I also managed to make a chicken lasagne at the weekend for me and my mum. Already ticked off one of my monthly's only a few days in to a new month ;)

Monday Makes
I finished the last cross stitch! :D
I think this is my favourite one.
So, after putting the three finished cross stitch pieces into the frames and cutting the ribbon to length, this is what I've ended up with:
It needed something more. So I've ordered some beads and shells from ebay to thread onto the left over ribbon. After a little tidy up, I'm hoping this will finish it off.
I also made soup today! Not a huge achievement, but one of my monthly to do's ticked off the list. Here's the recipe for Spicy Tomato Soup (a recipe I got from Weight Watchers when I attended a few years ago):
1 Onion
2 Tins of Chopped Tomatoes
800ml of Vegetable Stock
2 Teaspoons of Basil
2-3 Teaspoons of Tabasco Sauce
50g Lentils
Very simply, bung all the ingredients together in a very large pan, heat until boiling. Then simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally (which I may have forgot to do, resulting in a few lentils getting stuck to the bottom of the pan.....derp).
It's a delicious soup and best of all, very filling and low in calories!
And lastly, I'm in the process of making some pom pom sheep! All for a good cause! Shauns Pom Pom Parade is a project started in support of Campaign For Wool, which "aims to educate as many people as possible about the incredible benefits and versatility of wool in fashion, furnishings and everyday life. This in turn, supports many small businesses and local farmers whose livelihoods depend on the wool industry." They are basically trying to break the record for the most pom pom sheep made, with people downloading the template here at Shaun The Sheep and posting away any little critters they make. I'm going to see how many I can make before next week! (the last date for entries is the 1st of March). I'm going to make a few in FVRG colours (of course) and maybe attempt a multicoloured one. Watch this space!

Monday Makes - Progress Update
This is just a quick update on last week's Monday Makes. Quick because I somehow managed to trap a nerve in my arm on Tuesday and it pretty much stopped me in my tracks on the cross stitching :( I have, however, managed to finish off the whale and fish cross stitch:
And after speaking to the momma last week, I decided instead of painting the photo frames, I'd super glue shells to them! (Well derp, beach theme, kinda obvious.....). No super glue was harmed during this process, but I seemed to have got more on my fingers than anywhere else....
This WILL be finished by next Monday!

Monday Makes
Inspired after watching The Avengers, I made these cute little guys thanks to a pattern I found on an Etsy page:
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man
Captain America
I also finished my first cross-stitch that I bought with my christmas money.
Gecko (kit by Mouseloft)
I got the new issue of Let's Get Crafting: Knitting and Crochet on Friday, which meant more wool, which meant this happened.....
This week, I NEED to get knitting/crocheting!! Or the wool may take over the whole house, not just my bedroom, lol.
